We have manufactured this luminaire for several different projects. Our specifier designed this unit specifically to illuminate the ground along tree-lined walkways and areas while providing a splash of light upward into the trees.
The luminaire consists of a cast aluminum dome and trim ring, a lumasite lens for the direct light and a tempered clear glass/ white opal lens for the up-light, 70 to 150 watt metal halide lamp, with the ballast located in the top of the pole, extruded aluminum pole, and a cast aluminum base with base cover. A unique feature is the elliptical cross-section of the pole. They are generally painted a neutral color to blend in with the landscape.
Thank you to Grenald, Waldron Associates for choosing Klemm for this project.
