This project involved the repair and refinishing of four bronze wall lanterns.  The lanterns had an aged patina which blended with a later painted finish, requiring the removal of the finish and refinishing.  We also re-cast one of the missing leaves, repaired the usual broken screws, etc. and replaced the glass with a direct replacement for the original textured glass.  An intermediate diffuser was added to reduce the lamp image.  Two (2) PL-40 lamps and an electronic ballast were added.  The ballast is easily accessed by removing the top cover and knob.  New glass was bent for the bottom access doors.  New glass retaining strips and gasketing were added.
